XVME-491 is a 6U dual high single width VME bus four channel RS-422A/RS-485 serial communication module launched by Xycom, designed for industrial long-distance, multi node, and high anti-interference communication scenarios. I/O signals are output through the VME P2 backplane.

Adopting a 6U dual height single width VME architecture, occupying P1+P2 backplane slots, compatible with standard VME chassis.

Provide 4 independent RS-422A/RS-485 differential serial interfaces, supporting full duplex/half duplex transmission.

Built in 2 Zilog Z8530 serial communication controllers (SCC), compatible with multiple communication protocols.

Each channel has an independent programmable baud rate generator, with a maximum asynchronous speed of 57.6 KB/s and a maximum synchronous speed of 500 KB/s.

Support RS-485 multi node networking and adapt to industrial bus cascading and distributed device communication.

Differential signal transmission, strong electromagnetic interference resistance, supports long-distance communication up to 1200 meters.

Each channel supports modem control signals such as RTS/CTS/DCD, and is compatible with industrial equipment handshake.
